Salary: Up to $130,000 DOE, plus an additional $20,000 annual stipend for second-shift hours (4pm - 12am MST)

Must Have Skills:
- A minimum of three years of practical network engineering or support work within intricate enterprise settings, ideally gained through an MSP, VAR, SI, or a comparable consulting or client-facing background.
- Solid, hands-on expertise with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve challenges spanning routing, switching, and complicated connectivity scenarios.
- A firm grasp of core networking concepts such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, trunking, VPNs, ACLs, and TCP/IP.
- Working knowledge across wider network domains including wireless and network security, along with familiarity with some mix of Cisco FMC/FTD/Firepower, Cisco SD-WAN/SD-Access, and Palo Alto/Panorama/Prisma.
- Fluency in English with the capability to clearly convey technical concepts to audiences that are both technical and non-technical.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of Tier 2 escalations covering Cisco routing, switching, wireless, security, firewalls, and SD-WAN environments, and drive complex issues through to root cause.
- Investigate and remediate tricky performance, connectivity, authentication, and uptime problems across the entire network rather than a single platform.
- Serve as a dependable escalation resource, independently working through unfamiliar issues and thoroughly documenting your findings, steps taken, and resolutions.
- Engage directly with a large enterprise client's IT staff on incidents, troubleshooting progress, status reports, and resolution activities while building trust with stakeholders.
- Assist with bringing new environments online, including setting up documentation and monitoring, and flag optimization opportunities, recurring problems, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with the Service Desk, Tier 3 Engineers, and broader infrastructure teams, help mentor junior staff, and contribute to SOPs and process improvements.
