Must Have Skills:
- At least 7 years of increasingly responsible accounting experience within a corporate or commercial setting
- Proven track record of leading, coaching, or developing accounting and finance team members
- Deep hands-on expertise with monthly and annual close cycles, general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and GAAP standards
- Demonstrated experience managing audits, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring regulatory and tax compliance
- Familiarity with budgeting processes, cash oversight, and driving procedural enhancements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation is a plus but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Direct all aspects of the month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements suitable for executive and board-level review packages
- Manage and develop the US-based finance team through mentorship, coaching, and ongoing performance conversations
- Oversee audit coordination, tax compliance obligations, and the maintenance of robust internal control frameworks
- Collaborate with finance and operations partners to enhance reporting accuracy and streamline workflows
- Shape the financial controls and reporting team's strategic direction in alignment with broader organizational goals, particularly as the company scales
