Must Have Skills:
- Proven track record of overseeing an internal IT department, ideally gained within a managed services environment
- A solid hands-on technical foundation—such as desktop support, systems administration, or infrastructure—earned prior to stepping into a leadership capacity
- Excellent professional communication abilities, including a talent for developing strong working relationships with Director- and VP-level leaders
- Demonstrated background in managing third-party vendor relationships
- Willingness to take on a variety of duties and embrace operational tasks that extend beyond conventional IT management
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the internal IT function that serves roughly 250 team members
- Guide and develop a compact group of 2 to 3 IT engineers and technicians
- Connect regularly with Directors and VPs throughout the company to grasp business objectives and set priorities for IT efforts
- Oversee onboarding initiatives for both internal IT and managed services clients
- Steward partnerships with outside vendors and stay informed across business-owned technology platforms while collaborating with functional owners
- Deliver operational assistance for internal MSP efforts, staff augmentation coordination, or select client-facing tasks, shaped by business demands and personal strengths
