Location: Remote
Salary: $105K-$140K with potential bonus
Benefits: Full benefits
Type: Direct Hire
Sponsorship Available: No

Must Have Skills:
  • A minimum of 7 years working in software engineering, with deep hands-on Python development and demonstrated architecture/design capability rather than basic scripting.
  • A track record of delivering production-level applications, platforms, frameworks, or internal tooling from concept to completion.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted and agentic development approaches, leveraging tools such as Claude Code or comparable solutions to strengthen coding, testing, and delivery.
  • Proven skill in creating automation that spans complex, multi-system landscapes, including cloud platforms like AWS and Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform, along with system integration via APIs and workflows.
  • The ability to take ownership of technical direction, build solutions independently, and enhance engineering processes or the overall developer experience without heavy oversight.
  • Practical understanding of networking principles and APIs, with experience applying software engineering to automate large, multi-vendor infrastructure environments (for example Meraki, VeloCloud, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper Mist, NetBox, or similar); breadth and scale matter more than vendor-specific knowledge.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architecture, engineering, and rollout of production-grade automation software running across a large, multi-vendor network estate for a managed services organization.
  • Shape the developer experience for the network team by establishing coding conventions and designing flexible, extensible software architectures.
  • Create reusable Python libraries and internal platforms that support automation efforts across the organization.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline and accelerate software delivery.
  • Guide and coach fellow engineers in adopting current software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Drive technical decision-making and construct solutions from the ground up to continuously improve engineering workflows.

If the above seems like a fit, then apply!!
