Must Have Skills:
- Extensive background in building, deploying, and sustaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs that align with enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance standards
- Hands-on experience performing Business Impact Analyses, risk evaluations, and formulating recovery strategies for essential business operations and IT infrastructure
- In-depth understanding of recovery planning methodologies, crisis management protocols, incident response procedures, and organizational resilience frameworks
- Proficiency with cloud-based and hybrid environment recovery solutions, encompassing platforms such as AWS, Azure, VMware, backup tools, and data replication technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of engaging with senior leadership, engineering teams, third-party vendors, and various business departments throughout continuity planning and recovery efforts
Responsibilities:
- Create, coordinate, and thoroughly document BC/DR testing exercises ranging from tabletop walkthroughs and functional drills to comprehensive full-scale recovery simulations
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional workshops that guide both business and technical participants through gathering recovery requirements, mapping dependencies, identifying risks, and shaping continuity strategies
- Conduct thorough impact analyses and risk assessments across critical business functions to determine recovery priorities and inform strategy development
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders, technical personnel, and external partners to ensure seamless coordination during continuity planning activities and actual recovery events
- Design and maintain recovery plans and resilience strategies for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises IT environments leveraging modern backup and replication technologies
