Must Have Skills:
- At least five years of experience delivering network support in enterprise settings through an MSP, value-added reseller, systems integrator, or large organization, with a track record of direct customer interaction
- Deep hands-on ability to diagnose and resolve issues spanning routing, switching, wireless, and network security technologies
- Solid grasp of core networking protocols and concepts such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and ACLs
- Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco ISE — this is the highest-priority technology for the role
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Cisco SD-WAN / SD-Access, Palo Alto firewalls including Panorama and Prisma, or Cisco FMC / FTD platforms
- Must be fully fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build trust with enterprise stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the go-to escalation resource for complex network incidents involving routing, switching, wireless, security, and SD-WAN infrastructure within a large enterprise healthcare environment managed by our client, a leading managed services provider
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks, connectivity failures, and availability concerns across the customer's network, performing thorough root cause analysis and documenting all findings and remediation steps
- Engage directly with the end customer's IT staff to provide status updates, communicate resolution plans, and support the onboarding of new environments including monitoring configuration and documentation
- Identify opportunities for network optimization and flag potential risks within the customer's environment to proactively improve service quality
- Collaborate closely with the service desk, senior-level engineers, and broader infrastructure teams while helping to mentor less experienced technicians on networking concepts and troubleshooting methods
- Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures, internal documentation, and operational workflows to drive continuous improvement
