Job Description

Location: Austin, TX
Salary: $85,000 – $90,000
Benefits: Full benefits
Type: Contract to Hire
Sponsorship Available: No - Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Must Have:
  • 3–5 years of experience in System Administration roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows servers and operating systems
  • Experience managing desktops, laptops, and end-user environments
  • Expertise with Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Group Policy
  • Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint administration)
  • Experience with remote management and monitoring tools (Pulseway or similar)
  • Experience with asset tracking systems (AssetSonar or similar)
  • Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
  • Ability to work hands-on while contributing to SOP development and process improvement
  • Preferred experience: Zoom and Meraki, Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible)

Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Manage Windows environments including servers, desktops, Active Directory, and Azure AD
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively resolve risks
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and execution
  • Automate and optimize systems and processes where possible
  • Manage monitoring, asset tracking, and deployment tools
  • Implement system updates, patches, and integrations to improve performance and security
  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and system standards
  • Contribute to IT projects and initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
