About the Role: This is a people-manager role with hands-on technical responsibility, focused on driving the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise IT infrastructure. The IT Infrastructure Manager leads a team of network, security, and systems administrators while remaining technically engaged, supporting the team as needed and helping scale the function as the organization grows.
Most Important:
5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems, or Network Administration
2+ years of experience managing technical teams
Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Azure
Experience managing and delivering IT infrastructure projects
Ability to independently create SOPs, documentation, and operational standards
Working knowledge of automation/scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible)
Strong communication skills with a customer-service and business-focused mindset
Technical Focus Areas:
Operating Systems: Windows Server, Windows OS
Identity & Access: Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD)
Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure
Infrastructure: Servers, networks, user endpoints
Automation: PowerShell, Python, Ansible (basic to intermediate scripting)
Productivity & Collaboration: Microsoft 365 / Office 365
Security & Reliability: Infrastructure monitoring, access controls, and system hardening
Responsibilities:
Manage, mentor, and develop the IT Infrastructure team, fostering accountability and technical growth
Plan and execute infrastructure initiatives that improve uptime, security, and user experience
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure across cloud, network, and server environments
Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical support when needed
Develop and maintain IT policies, SOPs, and best practices to support operational excellence and compliance
Oversee lifecycle management of infrastructure systems, including monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning
Implement and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth, office expansions, and new technology initiatives
Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments
Leverage automation tools to improve efficiency and scalability
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to infrastructure reliability and security
