Must have skills:
7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in managed services or enterprise operations.
Strong multi?vendor experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco routing/switching, Meraki, Aruba switching/wireless, and F5 load balancers.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN, NAT, high availability, and QoS.
Expertise in BGP and OSPF, with experience supporting enterprise WAN and hybrid/cloud network environments.
Proficiency with network monitoring and performance analysis tools, plus Visio or similar diagramming tools.
Familiarity with wireless technologies, security intelligence, and vulnerability awareness.
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and WAN infrastructure.
Prior exposure to network design or presales engineering is a plus.
Certifications: CCNA – Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot Tier 3 escalations across Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco (IOS/XE, Nexus, Meraki), Aruba, and F5 platforms.
Lead high-severity incidents, including RCA, customer communication, and outage escalation support.
Support campus, WAN, and data center networks, including onboarding, changes, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
Enforce network security, routing design, segmentation, and high availability standards.
Support BGP (required) and OSPF routing, and troubleshoot hybrid/cloud connectivity across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Optimize traffic flow, application performance, and SLA adherence.
Maintain and support Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPN, and HA clusters.
Support F5 LTM/GTM configurations and troubleshoot application availability and traffic distribution.
Contribute to automation efforts (Python, Ansible, Terraform preferred) and improve monitoring/telemetry (e.g., LogicMonitor).
Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and escalation guides while mentoring Tier 1/2 engineers.
