Location: Pleasanton, CA
Salary: $30–35/hour

Most Important:
Prior experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
Strong hands-on networking experience, including VPNs, routing, TCP/IP, and network analysis tools
Proven ability to build and maintain IPsec VPN tunnels
Skilled in managing and configuring firewalls
Must have a reliable working vehicle and valid driver’s license with a good driving record – this role is nearly 100% in the field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – must be comfortable interacting with clients and internal teams
Qualifications:
Proficiency in TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and VLAN configurations
Experience working with policy-based firewalls (e.g., WatchGuard or similar)
Strong background in installing, configuring, and replacing wired and wireless infrastructure in small to medium-sized environments
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose connectivity issues across various devices including desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
Comfortable communicating with customers via phone, email, and in-person to gather information and provide technical support
Ability to collaborate with internal teams, including sales reps and remote technicians, to resolve issues effectively
Strong cultural fit with a team-oriented, customer-first environment
Responsibilities:
Configure and support firewalls and networking infrastructure across multiple client sites
Install and maintain secure IPsec VPN connections between branch offices
Diagnose and resolve networking issues both remotely and onsite
Replace and configure wired and wireless systems as needed for small to mid-sized networks
Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and internal team members
Document findings, configurations, and solutions accurately and thoroughly
Support company goals by delivering excellent customer service and representing the team well in the field
