Location: Boston, Massachusetts Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 Benefits: Full benefits Type: Direct Hire Sponsorship Available: No – Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Most Important:
Experience with Python.
Experience with SD-WAN protocols.
Experience troubleshooting and managing Fortinet Network Security Solutions.
Can obtain a security clearance.
Qualifications:
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable discipline is preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
2 years of hands-on experience in technical support or a comparable technical role.
Familiarity with core networking concepts such as the OSI model, IP subnetting, and routing protocol fundamentals.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities, with a proven track record of resolving network-related issues effectively.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience supporting task and project workflows in agile environments.
Skilled at delivering exceptional customer service to enhance overall user satisfaction.
Comfortable operating both autonomously and collaboratively in a partially remote work setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide remote support by diagnosing and resolving managed service issues during calls with Client’s customers or onsite technicians.
Support the deployment and onboarding of advanced security and networking technologies, including proprietary hardware developed internally.
Address both technical and general service-related inquiries professionally and promptly, ensuring smooth operation of all NOC services.
Collaborate with leading technology vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, and VMWare to assist in the delivery and maintenance of large-scale network solutions.
Continuously expand technical expertise in areas like enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and unified communications to deliver higher-value contributions aligned with Client’s objectives.
Manage a personal workload of support tickets, responding quickly to issues, service requests, and change management tasks in line with SLA expectations.
Oversee the stability and functionality of critical infrastructure, including SD-WAN platforms, firewalls, switches, routers, and other network devices.
