Most Important:
ASC 606 complex revenue recognition experience. Ideally 6+ streams. With Tech Startup experience being key.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and Revenue Accounting skills with a technical understanding of US GAAP, and specifically ASC 606
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite
Experience with SalesForce, Oracle, NetSuite, Zuora Billing, and ability to learn new systems quickly
Ability to manage multiple tasks, take ownership of work product, and improve processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
Responsibilities:
This role will work on all aspects of the revenue accounting process and ensure accurate and complete financial information related to revenue
You will collaborate with various business partners in Sales, Deal Desk, FP&A and Billing, among others
Lead parts of the revenue accounting close process driving timely and accurate reporting of revenue on a monthly basis
Understand the Company product offerings, routes to market implications on revenue recognition
Liaise with various business partners upstream in the sales cycle to influence accuracy and efficiency in the revenue accounting process
Support key business partners in exploration of new products, ways to package and sell, etc. with guidance on revenue accounting implications
Identify process improvements and assist in automation efforts within the team and business partners to drive efficiency initiatives within the quote to cash business cycle
Clearly and completely document all processes and procedures
